- What size are the magnets?
- Each tile is 50×50 mm — right around 2×2 inches. It's the perfect size to show off a photo without taking over your whole fridge.
- What are they made of?
- Your photo sits inside a sturdy tinplate metal shell, protected by a crystal-clear mylar layer and sealed under a transparent plastic cover. The back has a 2 mm rubber magnet that grips any magnetic surface. We chose plastic covers over the cheaper cardboard option — they won't bend, warp, or soak up moisture, so your magnet stays looking fresh for years.
- Why plastic instead of cardboard?
- Cardboard-backed magnets are common, but they're fragile. They bend easily, absorb humidity, and the edges start looking rough over time. Our plastic covers are rigid, moisture-proof, and scratch-resistant. It's a small upgrade that makes a big difference in how long your magnet lasts.
- Will it actually stick to my fridge?
- Yes — the full-surface rubber magnet backing holds firmly on fridges, lockers, filing cabinets, whiteboards, and any other magnetic surface. It sits flat and won't slide around.
- What kind of photos work best?
- Any photo you love! Upload a JPG, PNG, HEIC, or WebP file. For the sharpest print, aim for at least 500×500 pixels — but most phone photos are way beyond that. Our design tool lets you crop and frame before you order, so you can get it exactly right.
- What's a mosaic set?
- Instead of one tile, your photo gets split across a grid — 3×3, 4×4, or 5×5 tiles. Arrange them together on your fridge for a bigger, eye-catching display. Pull one tile off and the rest still look great on their own.
- How long until I get my order?
- Fast! We assemble each magnet by hand in our Michigan workshop and most orders ship within a day — in rare cases it might take two. After that, standard USPS delivery is another 3–5 business days. We'll email you a tracking number as soon as it's on its way.
- Do you ship outside the US?
- Not yet — right now we ship anywhere within the United States. International shipping is something we're looking into for the future.
- Can I get one in person?
- You bet. We set up at art shows, craft fairs, and festivals throughout the Detroit metro and across Michigan. Stop by our booth, pick a photo from your phone, and walk away with a finished magnet the same day.
- Do you do private events?
- We do! Birthdays, weddings, corporate events, school fundraisers — we bring a live photo-to-magnet station to your venue. Guests design their own magnet on the spot, and it doubles as a party favor they'll actually keep. Send us a message through our contact page to check availability.
- How do I take care of my magnets?
- They're pretty low-maintenance. Wipe with a soft damp cloth if they get dusty. The mylar and plastic cover protect the image, but try to avoid soaking them in water or leaving them in direct sunlight for a long time — just like you would with any printed photo.
- Can I upload someone else's photo?
- We ask that you only upload photos you own or have permission to use. We print what you send, no questions asked — so please make sure the image is yours to share.
